What a disapointment. This is not at all what I expected. I couldn't even finish reading this. From what I did read none of the authors experiences are based on truth. Nothing can be proved or is documented. The reader is treated like a idiot. Am I really supposed to believe that a "Divine Download" is embedded into the pages of the book? All I have to do is read them & I will recieve the "Download" if I'm ready? Then I will be healed? This isn't soul wisdom it's hogwash. I recommend this to no one! I thought this would be a book on meditation & self healing. Finding inner peace etc. I suppose that this is what is supposed to be about but I can't find healing when reading repetitive pages of pure BS!
4 out of 5 stars A new angle September 7, 2008

The title of this book was what caught my attention. I found it to be magnetic. And I had not heard of the author before, in spite of the fact he's had a best seller, so I was intrigued.
Am not sure I would have continued reading it were it not for the endorsement of Dr. Michael Beckwith, and the educational background of the author, because I felt cautious, and a little uncomfortable. There's a strangeness about the writing, even though it's not high brow. I felt the same way about the CD which is included. The chant sounded like the refrain from "Old McDonald Had a Farm." But I kept listening to the CD and was able to get past that. Perhaps the tone of the writing is a cultural "thing" that I had to adjust to. What I liked about Dr. Sha's approach is that I am able to tie it in with my personal belief system to a large extent. (Though I am not sure I will ever be convinced of reincarnation.) It's clear that the exercises he suggests will take time to apply. So the real proof of this book for me will not be that I found it interesting or that I liked being introduced to a new teacher. It will be if the program works for me in a way that things I've tried in the past have not. I feel optimistic that I will experience some level of spiritual growth as a result of reading Soul Wisdom.
1 out of 5 stars Ridiculous book and premise: Profoundly unrealistic September 7, 2008

INTRO:
I received this book from the Amazon Vine Program. Luckily, I was not parted from my $16 retail + shipping and handling. After reading the dozens of 5 stars from this site, I figured this book has got to be written of some Divine Perfection. After reading the book and reviewing the 5 star reviews, they have only reviewed this particular author's books and books related to it. So the validity of the 5 star ratings is in question.
THE CD:
Out of curiosity, I began to listen to the music CD. A unintelligible chant begins, and then a soft piano plays in the background. "E", "I", "Ohhhh"... "E", "I", "Ohhhh"..."E", "I", "Ohhhh"... chanting in the foreground. Did he not learn the lyrics of "Old Macdonald" (Old Macdonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-OH) ? Maybe it was lost in the translation. I received a chill in my spine. Alternating between the beautiful piano and the "E-I-O" singing was enough for me. Out goes the CD, and onto the book.
THE BOOK:
The credentials of this man was impressive and so it was worth a try in reading this book. So we start out with an altruistic goal:
"My total life mission is to transform the consciousness of humanity and souls in the universe, in order to join all souls as one to create love, peace and harmony for humanity, Mother Earh and the universe."
Through this is his 3 empowerments:
Universal service,
teach healing, and
"to teach soul secrets and wisdom to transmit Divine Soul Power, to empower people to use Soul Power to transform every aspet of their lives and enlighten their souls, hearts, minds and bodies."
He goes on state "However, I am not teaching religion. I am teaching Soul Power, which includes soul secrets, soul wisdom, soul knowledge, and soul practices." I am thinking at this point, "Boy it is sounding like an invitation to a cult, if you ask me". He goes on to start the origins of this journey with April 2003 where he receives "spiritual law" from the Divine and in July 2003 where he transmits healing and blessing treasures to a man named Walter who is later cured of his liver cancer. This is supposedly coming from a Medical Doctor? This reminds me of Uri Geller and his healing powers of my old clock radio.
He speaks of a Divine who utilizes preprogram Divine Downloads in each book of this series (the Divine is a true marketer). Divine Downloads?
I continue reading and at this point, the skeptic in me is raging. Shall I continue reading this book? Another statement is another red flag for me "As you read this book, my souls will always be with you...I will be your servant forever." I am thinking, "Whoa! I have had enough".
10 minutes of this and that and awful chants, I had read enough. This is some Eastern approach to swindling your money and time.
I am not usually harsh with reviews and I try to see the positive light. He speaks of universal love and altruism. That's where it ends.
VERDICT:
Save your money, and save your time. Stay away. Stay far, far away from this one. This one is not even worth one star. The book just went into the trash...along with the CD.
3 out of 5 stars Skeptical . . . September 6, 2008

Although I believe that there are many things that take place in this world of which most of us are unaware, and I am inclined to give unusual methods a try with an open mind, I find myself skeptical of the, ". . . the Soul Treasures," that could transform our lives.
This is my first introduction to Dr. Sha. Perhaps if I'd read his earlier books before this one I would be more open to the possibility of trusting in the chant, 3396815, which is to be said in Chinese, and translates to, "San San Jiu Liu Ba Yao Wu." By repeating this chant one is supposed to be able to find their Soul Language, which will begin to be heard from our mouths after much practice.
This doesn't sound far fetched; I've studied - briefly - meditation and chanting, so I do believe in those practices and I can see the benefit of chanting. As to eventually hearing a Soul Language, however, stretches my imagination. But to be fair, I haven't given it much of a chance. Sha does say it can take longer for some.
After we find our Soul Language, we graduate to finding our Soul Song, Soul Movement, Soul Tapping and Soul Dance. We also can access Divine Downloads. I find the wording, Divine Downloads, a little distracting. AS I understand it, Divine Downloads are gifts we receive when we chant - kind of like our prayers are being answered.
Much of the book is repetitive and I think maybe a more succinct volume would be more convincing and much easier to read. At this point (after one reading) I am not intrigued enough to read the book again, or dig more deeply into the concepts of Souls Language, Soul Song, Soul Movement, Soul Tapping or Soul Dance.
Perhaps if I were more patient or not so skeptical, I would study this volume more.
1 out of 5 stars Invitation to join a cult. I am not interested. September 5, 2008

This book is not what I thought it would be. I did not realize that Dr. Sha would be inviting us to join his cult, in which he is the new prophet who communicated directly with the Divine and shares the revelations with his adoring minions by way of "Divine Downloads." He is so devoted to universal service that he even offers a full catalog of his other books and bracelets and other products, available for purchase to those who want this prophet to profit. The writing is repetitious and redundant and circular. This book will get no more than the fifteen minutes I have already devoted to it. The author is a self-aggrandizing charlatan.
